The Management of the Scientific Equipment Development Institute (SEDI), Enugu led by the Acting Managing Director / Chief Executive, Engr. David Dania on Thursday, 20/06/2024 had a meeting with the representatives of Cutix Nigeria Ltd, Nnewi for the production of 4-way 3-Phase electrical distribution boxes using the Institute Fibre Laser Cutting Machine and other related machinery. The representatives of Cutix Nigeria Ltd, Nnewi led by Engr. Maryann Okoyefi, Head, New Business Development and Engr. Okonkwo Okwy, Head, Adswitch had agreed with the management of SEDI Enugu for the production in the first instance of 500 numbers of the distribution boxes. The agreement reached today is as a result of a visit made by the team from Cutix Nigeria Ltd to the Institute in the last quarter of 2023, where both parties agreed to partner in the production of enclosures locally. This partnership falls within the 3Cs of the Executive Vice Chairman (EVC) of National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI).

Furthermore Cutix Nigeria Ltd is also requesting that SEDI Enugu will bring her expertise and assist in the production of Change Over boxes with knife edge. Mass production of the distribution boxes is expected to begin in early July.
