Enugu State Programme Coordinator, International Fund For Agricultural Development (IFAD) Value Chain Development Programme (VCDP)

The IFAD VCDP team observes the component parts of an energy efficient stove, while on tour of SEDI Enugu facility.

Sequel to the successful collaboration between SEDI Enugu and Kogi State IFAD VCDP, on Thursday, 06/06/2024, the Acting Managing Director/Chief Executive of the Scientific Equipment Development Institute (SEDI) Enugu, Engr. David Dania and his Management Team received the Enugu State Programme Coordinator of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) Value Chain Development Programme, Dr. Edward Isiwu.

On the visiting team also, was Mr. Ezeh Chike, the Agro Processing & Quality Enhancement Officer, and Mrs. Asogwa Juliet, the Environment & Climate Change Officer. The team was at SEDI, Enugu for collaboration in the areas of the production of agro-allied equipment/ machinery and the production of sustainable systems to mitigate climate change. The Enugu State Coordinator of IFAD expressed delight with the facilities and technologies available in SEDI Enugu in the possible areas of collaboration. Both teams agreed to work together in the production and supply of briquette production machines, eco friendly energy stoves, mobile cassava graters, bio-digesters and solar powered water pumping machines.

The Acting Managing Director/ Chief Executive of SEDI, Enugu in his remarks assured the IFAD team that their objectives falls within the 3Cs agenda of the Executive Vice Chairman (EVC) NASENI, adding that SEDI Enugu is readily available for the collaboration.
