Dr. Nwobodo, hails from Enugu state Nigeria and married to the late Dr. Ifeanyi Nwobodo, with whom she is blessed with four children.
She has carved an illustrious path defined by academic excellence, groundbreaking research, and unwavering dedication to the advancement of engineering and technology in Nigeria and beyond.
She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electronics and Computer Engineering with a focus on Control Engineering from Nnamdi Azikiwe University (NAU), Awka. She also earned a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Electrical/Electronics and Computer Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Computer Engineering, underscoring her deep technical expertise and commitment to continuous learning. Her academic journey is further enriched by an Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education, reflecting her dynamic approach to leadership and pedagogy.
Before her new role in NASENI, Dr. Nwobodo previously served as the Head, Department of Computer Engineering at Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), where she provides visionary leadership, ensuring the highest standards of academic and administrative excellence.She inspires the next generation of engineers, supervising advanced research projects in areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning and cybersecurity.
As Director of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) at ESUT, Dr Nwobodo transformed the University’s digital landscape. She spearheaded the digitization of key operations, launched the first-ever online matriculation in Nigeria, and developed cost-effective IT solutions that have become foundational to the University’s academic and administrative processes.
As a certified renewable energy and safety expert, Dr. Nwobodo has also been instrumental in advancing environmental sustainability through her research and consultancy projects. She holds multiple certifications, including the La Plage Meta Verse (LPMV) Diploma Certificate in Advance International Human Resource Management, Galileo Master Certificate in Renewable Energy Solutions, Solar Photovoltaic Systems, and Biomass, highlighting her versatility and forward-thinking approach to tackling global challenges.
Her commitment to professional development is evident in her active involvement in numerous professional organizations, including the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
